Frequently Asked Questions
What is Holistic Nutrition?
What makes holistic nutrition different is that as an RHN, I recognize that each and every person is biochemically unique. My approach is individualized – no one person is put into a box. I don’t believe in “cookie cutter” plans, protocols or trend diets
regardless of your health condition. Incorporating a more natural approach to nutrition with the focus of building overall good health is the cornerstone of my practice. My customized meal plans are designed after a 90 minute evaluation. This evaluation enables me to target and support your unique specific needs.

Will my benefits cover seeing a holistic nutritional consultANT?
Sometimes. We RHN’s are working hard getting more insurance companies to include our services to their extended health benefits plans. Currently, my services are covered if your benefits package covers “Nutritionist”. Note that I am not a dietician and my services will not be covered if your plan only covers “Dietician”. It is also worthwhile noting that many employers offer “Wellness Benefits” over and above your extended health plan benefits. These benefits often include reimbursement for services such as mine as well as many other industries which promote health and wellness.
What forms of payment do you accept?
For office appointments, I accept cash and debit. I also accept credit cards (Visa or Mastercard), however with office credit payments, there is an additional service fee of 2.65%. For virtual or phone appointments, I accept e-transfers. For my online digital recipe collections and reset meal plans, payment is by credit via my online shop. (Note, no service charge applies to online purchases).
Who are the Nourished Reset Meal Plans designed for?
These plans are not customized to the individual but rather designed for those looking to shed some excess weight, reduce inflammation, increase energy levels, and support their digestive system.
Are the Nourished Reset Meal Plans suitable if I have Celiac Disease or Gluten
Sensitivity? What about Dairy Intolerance?
Sensitivity? What about Dairy Intolerance?
YES and YES! My Nourished Reset Meal Plans and Recipe Collections are designed to be both gluten and dairy free! If there is a recipe that is not gluten or dairy free in either a Meal Plan or Recipe Collection, I provide you instructions on substitute ingredients (i.e. Certified gluten free oats, breads, wraps, and pasta) and dairy free options for cheese and yogurt) in your Welcome to Your Meal Plan Guide OR I indicate the swaps in the product description in the Shop.
What Meal Prep is involved? Do I have to be an experienced cook to prepare the
recipes?
recipes?
I lay out the items to be prepared ahead in your Meal Plan. Typically they include a soup, chili, curry, or stew as well as a breakfast baked good and a snack item such as an energy ball, cookie, or muffin. Once you prep these items once, you are prepared for the entire month provided you are the only person eating these breakfast, lunch, and snack items. As for your cooking level, no Master Chief skills required! The recipes are easy!!
Do I have to follow my Meal Plan as shown?
That depends on your goals. If weight loss is part of them, yes! Following the plan as shown will deliver the results you are looking for. You can switch a day for a day, for example, if Monday’s menu works better for you on Saturday, simply have Saturday’s meals on Monday and Monday’s meals on Saturday. I strongly advise against repeating meals and interchanging meals from one day to another if weight loss is part of your goal.
How long can I follow the Meal Plans?
Both my customized and Nourished Reset Meal Plans are 7 day plans which are intended to be followed for 4 weeks.
What are the serving sizes?
For my online recipe collections, most breakfasts, lunches, and snacks are single serve. As for your dinners, the collections vary. Check out the Shop for more details. As for my digital Reset Meal Plans, dinners are designed for 2 and most breakfasts, lunches, and snacks are single serve. For my customized meal plans, you decide! You also decide whether or not you want a different dinner every night, or if you want some leftovers built into your meal plans.
Can I get all the ingredients at my grocery store?
YES! All the ingredients, with the exception of protein powder, can be purchased at your grocery store. I recommend purchasing your Protein Powder at your local health food or supplement store. Some ingredients on your list will be found in the organic section of your supermarket.
What if I don’t like something on the Plan? Also, do you offer one-on-one support while
following the digital Meal Plan?
following the digital Meal Plan?
Unlike my customized services and meal plans, I do not offer recipe substitutions for my online recipe collections and Nourished Reset Meal Plans, nor do I offer one-on-one support. If you have particular dietary needs or do not enjoy a wide variety of foods, my digital plans and recipe collections may not be a good fit for you. Although I do not offer additional support with my digital plans and collections, I do provide you with a boatload of details in my Guide and/or Brief with your purchase so you will have all the information you need to be successful!
What if I don't want to lose weight but I do want to eat better. Is your digital Nourished
